National Geographic is #Instaworthy

I chose National Geographic as the brand to cover in this week's blog post. After surfing the web for inspiration, I saw that they are the second most followed instagram page on the platform. Their entire page is of stunning and surreal pictures; it's no wonder they are followed by 217 million people.       National Geographic is a company that provides mainstream media in the form of stories and images. They make money through their customers purchasing a monthly subscription of their magazine. These stories cover a wide variety of people, places, and things. What makes them unique is that they publish various posts which advertise their subscriber-exclusive stories. Originally, I competed for the University of Hawaii at Manoa on their track team as a pole vaulter. After 1.5 years of competing, my knees caused me to hang up my spikes and medically retire. I came back home to Corvallis soon after to finish my degree.      Deciding what I want to get my degree in has been of extreme difficulty for me. I am interested in so many things! I have declared almost every major under the sun... Food Science and Human Nutrition, Fashion Design, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, and currently Business Administration. Hopefully, I can use this vast array of experience to bring multiple perspectives into my place of work.      I enrolled in this course because it is a requirement for my major, but it also really interests me! I believe there are many applicable concepts I can take with me into my future ca
