My First BA 223 Blog Post
Hello Reader!
Welcome to my blog for BA 223. My name is Sydney Montesi, a transfer student at Oregon State University. Originally, I competed for the University of Hawaii at Manoa on their track team as a pole vaulter. After 1.5 years of competing, my knees caused me to hang up my spikes and medically retire. I came back home to Corvallis soon after to finish my degree.
Deciding what I want to get my degree in has been of extreme difficulty for me. I am interested in so many things! I have declared almost every major under the sun... Food Science and Human Nutrition, Fashion Design, Computer Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, and currently Business Administration. Hopefully, I can use this vast array of experience to bring multiple perspectives into my place of work.
I enrolled in this course because it is a requirement for my major, but it also really interests me! I believe there are many applicable concepts I can take with me into my future career, whatever that may be! I am most excited to learn how I can grab the attention of the masses and learn effective ways to convince them whatever I market is of value.
I am passionate about many things. If I had to narrow it down, I would say learning and exercise are activities I value most. In regards to learning, I feel a deep inclination to continually grow my knowledge in all categories for the sake of self and world improvement. In regards to exercise, my life has revolved around being active for as long as I can remember. Since my knees no longer function as they should, I have found different avenues for working out like weightlifting and biking.
